Job summary
Sedron Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical systems for medium-sized industrial plants in the US, including Bellingham/Sedro-Woolley, WA, or Chicago, IL, with remote options. You will guide projects from FEL through Construction, focusing on power distribution, protective relaying, and IT/OT integration across controls and safety systems.
A strong background in industrial power distribution and mentoring is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 10+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience focusing on power distribution.
- Proven ability to lead projects from concept to commissioning and mentor junior engineers.
- Strong knowledge of UL508A, NFPA 79, NEC/NFPA 70 standards.
- Experience with power distribution equipment sizing, switchgear, transformers, and MCCs.
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical system development for medium-sized industrial plants through FEL/FEED/Detail Design and Construction phases.
- Oversee electrical scope including process equipment, controls, IT/OT/SCADA, lighting, grounding.
- Create and review construction documents for manufacturers and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and safety standards.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and collaborate across disciplines.
