Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas group to deliver design and analysis under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer. Remote work from the Odessa/Midland, TX area is available, with focus on substations and power projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years' experience, FE certification (PE preferred), and proficiency with PSSE/PSCAD/ETAP/SKM for power system studies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution; electric power option preferred.
• Experience: 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• Licensure: FE is required; PE preferred.
• Knowledge: Medium/low voltage distribution, protection & control schemes, and substation design.
• Software: Proficient with PSSE, PSCAD, ETAP, SKM.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of electrical power systems including diagrams, SCADA, wiring, grounding, and equipment specifications.
• Develop protective relay settings and coordinate relays; assist with FAT and commissioning.
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, proposals, and technical study reports.
• Review submittals for conformance with client specs and standards.
• Provide field assistance, troubleshooting, and client communication.
