Job summary

Atwell, LLC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Oil & Gas group to perform detailed electrical design and power system studies under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer. The role emphasizes delivering quality, on-time, within-budget work while coordinating with clients and teams at multiple locations.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field, FE licensure, 7+ years of experience, and familiarity with PSSE/PSCAD/ETAP/SKM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Eng Tech; power option preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant engineering or field experience.
• FE licensure required; PE preferred.
• Experience with medium and low voltage distribution.
• Substation design knowledge and power system studies software proficiency (PSSE/PSCAD/ETAP/SKM).
• Experience coordinating projects with clients, contractors; Oil & Gas familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed design of electrical power systems including diagrams and SCADA.
• Prepare power system studies: short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash.
• Develop protective relay settings and install relaying/control systems.
• Prepare project documents: cost estimates, budgets, proposals.
• Assist FAT and commissioning activities; provide field troubleshooting.
• Review submittals and ensure conformance with specs.
• Maintain client communications and assist business development.
