CannonDesign seeks a senior electrical engineer for a remote U.S. role with preference for candidates in Arlington, VA; Baltimore, MD; Boston, MA; Buffalo, NY; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; Los Angeles, CA; San Diego, CA; St. Louis, MO; or Pittsburgh, PA.

You will lead electrical design for building projects across healthcare, education, and commercial sectors, coordinating with architects and engineers to deliver high-quality documentation and on-site support.

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years of related experience in electrical engineering.
Degree in Engineering from ABET-accredited program preferred.
EIT/FE and LEED accreditation preferred.
Independent thinker with strong analytical and communication skills.
Experience with electrical design software and multidisciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

Participate in project teamwork planning and may take a lead role.
Perform electrical systems design for building construction and health/safety compliance.
Prepare construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and change orders; support site meetings.
Lead quality checks and coordinate with architectural/engineering teams.
Contribute to value engineering and design goal development.
Mentor junior staff and support project delivery goals.
