Job summary

SYSTRA USA is seeking a seasoned Electrical Engineer to contribute to the Train Control Modernization program in the Oakland Bay Area. On-site involvement at client facilities is required, with responsibilities spanning design, calculations, bid documentation, and field verification.

Requires a BSEE with 10+ years of experience, NEC proficiency, and a California PE license. Prior Bay Area transit experience and familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation are a plus.

Qualifications

• BSEE from an ABET-accredited institution.
• 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience.
• California PE license.
• Experience with NEC and applicable industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical specifications and designs for commercial electric power systems per NEC and standards.
• Develop construction bid documents.
• Perform electrical power and lighting calculations and CAD drawings.
• Oversee submittals, RFIs, and site inspections.
• Manage project scope, schedule and budget across multiple projects.
• Verify testing and commissioning activities in the field.
