RTX in Massachusetts seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and implement COTS hardware and networking solutions for next-gen radar systems. You will work with product leads and hardware teams to develop safe, standards-compliant hardware and firmware.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years of experience, and expertise with Unix/Linux. Onsite work in MA with potential travel and a security clearance process is involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of professional experience.
• Experience with Unix and Linux operating systems.
• Experience developing and implementing computing, networking, and IT infrastructure through a rigorous design and documentation process.
• Experience taking a system design concept from the block diagram or requirements level and developing a complete COTS-based hardware design.
• Design verification via integration and test plans and activities.

Responsabilités

• Design COTS hardware infrastructure systems (e.g. X86-based processors).
• Research and selection of servers, workstations, add-in interface cards, storage devices, and other COTS hardware.
• Engineer BIOS and operating system configuration definitions.
• Work in a lab environment with standard test equipment including oscilloscopes, processor bus analyzers, emulators, and data capture tools.
• Collaborate in development with hardware engineering disciplines, supply chain, suppliers, field engineering, on-site installation and trades, and customers to develop and deliver safety critical systems.
• Support occasional domestic travel and potential international travel.
