Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Project Lead to oversee electrical design for industrial and infrastructure projects. The role includes leading a 1-3 person team, managing scope, schedule, and budget, and coordinating with utilities, contractors, and vendors.

You will deliver technical reports, construction documents, and permit applications while ensuring quality and client satisfaction. Ideal candidates have PE licensure, 8+ years of relevant experience, and strong leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 8+ years of electrical consulting or related engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Willingness to obtain additional state PE licenses as needed.
• Experience leading projects and managing technical teams.
• Strong client-facing consulting, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and PDF markup/editing software.
• Experience with AGi32, SKM Power Tools, or equivalent software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Electrical Engineer and Engineer of Record on projects.
• Lead and mentor a team of 1-3 electrical engineers and designers.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and technical quality.
• Provide regular project status updates to team leadership.
• Coordinate with clients, electric utilities, contractors, construction managers, vendors, manufacturers, and regulatory agencies.
• Lead the development of technical reports, construction documents, specifications, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Conduct and support site visits, field investigations, and construction-phase services.
• Coordinate electrical designs with instrumentation and controls, civil, process mechanical, HVAC, architectural, structural, plumbing, and fire protection disciplines.
• Support proposal development and cultivate strong client relationships.
• Collaborate effectively with geographically dispersed team members using virtual communication and collaboration tools.
• Promote quality, consistency, and continuous improvement across project deliverables.
