Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in power transformer electrical design.
• Strong knowledge of IEEE C57, ANSI, and IEC standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and customer-facing skills.
• Experience with Large Power Transformers over 300MVA, oil-based.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design and technical review of Large Power Transformers.
• Perform transformer design calculations, including impedance, losses, short-circuit forces, thermal performance, dielectric design, insulation coordination, and cooling system analysis.
• Utilize transformer design and analytical software to develop and optimize transformer designs.
• Participate in Design Review Meetings (DRMs) with customers, consultants, and utilities, providing technical presentations and engineering support.
• Review customer specifications and ensure compliance with IEEE, ANSI, IEC, and customer requirements.
• Support factory acceptance tests (FATs), root cause analysis (RCA), engineering changes, and field technical investigations.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership.
