Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of dielectrics, thermal behavior, electrical stress, and the mechanical strength of assemblies and components.
• Experience developing electromechanical products, particularly power transformer components.
• Prior experience in electrical component design, wiring schematics, configuration, manufacturing, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Pro-E or similar 3D CAD modeling experience is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of PLM software and industry standards is advantageous.
• Eligibility to work in the United States for Hitachi Energy.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and evaluate systems to create assembly drawings, schematics, and part drawings.
• Prepare specifications, proposals for contracts, Bills of Materials, control schematics, outline drawings, and assembly drawings.
• Act as principal investigator or lead a group of engineers investigating problems, developing solutions, and preparing related recommendations and reports.
• Analyze new proposals, requirements, specifications, and products.
• Participate in group meetings and conferences; interact with internal and external customers to resolve significant technical issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and develop related action plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve product design and performance.
