Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking an Electrical Engineer to develop conceptual designs for new facilities and perform power flow and reliability studies. You will evaluate interconnections with renewable energy resources and support contingency planning and storm restoration efforts.

The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, FE/PE preferred, and experience in power system analysis and field engineering. Collaboration with multiple teams and strong analytical skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering required; FE certification or PE preferred.
• Experience in power system analysis, field engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual design for new facilities and issue engineering documents to start design and construction.
• Perform power flow and reliability studies for the power delivery and distribution system.
• Evaluate DER interconnections and hosting capacity; support contingency responses and storm restoration.
• Prepare engineering reports and guidelines; collaborate with Field Engineering and other departments.
