Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Mid-Level to Senior Electrical Engineer in Bothell, WA to lead electrical design on Power & Renewable and Industrial projects. Hybrid work is possible, with a preference for local candidates in the US.

You will contribute to scope, estimates, budgets, and technical bid evaluations, applying strong NEC/IEEE standards knowledge across AIS/GIS HV substations and power systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineer degree from a recognized university.
• 10–20 years of experience for senior positions.
• 6–9 years of experience for mid-level positions.
• Solid engineering design background in power, industrial and HV substations (AIS and GIS).
• Strong knowledge of NEC, ANSI/IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide electrical engineering design on power and industrial projects.
• Support project scope and estimating.
• Input to project cost and schedule.
• Control and monitor design budget.
• Perform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, relay coordination, arc flash, grounding).
• Prepare engineering reports, tenders and construction drawings.
• Prepare equipment specifications and select equipment; perform technical bids.
• Develop power distribution layouts and grounding/lightning protection designs.
• Develop wiring diagrams and single/three-line diagrams.
• Size and specify electrical equipment and HV substations.
