Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer license.
• 10 years of related electrical engineering experience.
• Equivalent directly related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required depending on project needs, workload, and business demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex electrical design projects for critical infrastructure.
• Develop electrical master plans, power systems, protection, generation models, and renewable energy systems.
• Review designs for compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and approve designs.
• Perform power system studies and electrical calculations for power distribution, lighting, communications, fire alarm, security, and other electrical systems.
• Ensure all designs comply with firm policies, procedures, and technical standards.
• Conduct site investigations and technical studies to verify existing conditions and align with site-specific requirements.
• Contribute to the firm’s Technical Knowledge Management program with white papers and design guidance.
• Prepare and submit technical papers for publication in industry journals.
• Collaborate with sales staff to develop proposals and review for compliance with standards.
• Meet with clients to understand present and future design needs.
• Attend industry events to showcase capabilities and services.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff.
