Job summary

Black & Veatch Family of Companies is seeking a Project Manager - Power Generation to lead large-scale energy projects across conventional generation, with a focus on delivering Owner’s Engineer services from design through startup. The role emphasizes collaboration with clients and cross-functional teams in a hybrid work setting.

You will mentor Project Managers and Engineering Managers, drive standards, and help win new opportunities while managing complex schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of relevant industry experience including new simple cycle and combined cycle projects, CH&P, and boiler applications.
• 9+ years of experience in Project Management with full responsibility for project outcomes.
• Experience with full project lifecycle: development, design, construction, startup/commissioning.
• High level communication skills to lead and serve client and community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver large-scale services projects encompassing conventional generation.
• Provide design review and engineering support, feasibility studies, and cost estimates; construction support and testing & commissioning.
• Lead project teams and clients through the entire project lifecycle as an Owner’s Engineer.
• Lead business development through proposal support, technical specification preparation, RFP support, and bid evaluation support.
• Oversee EPC contractors and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project success.
