Job summary

Black & Veatch seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for Conventional Generation in a hybrid role. You will collaborate with design teams across the US and abroad, performing mechanical design, analysis, and recommendations for complex projects.

You will work within the Mechanical Engineering Department on power facilities, ensuring quality, budget and schedule adherence while leveraging ESOP ownership and flexible work options.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Minimum of 11 years related work experience.
• Active engineering registration or licensure preferred.
• Pre-employment onboarding including background check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Guides department design guides, standards and codes; may own or develop engineering standards.
• Prepares complex engineering deliverables and conducts research for equipment selection.
• Develops project design recommendations and manages data for engineering work.
• Coordinates with internal/external teams on complex projects and defines project schedules.
