GHD is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our US East Design & Delivery Organization in Syracuse, NY or Buffalo, NY. You will design electrical power, instrumentation, and control systems for power generation, distribution, and utilization projects across the US, including water and wastewater facilities.

We offer a hybrid work model with three days in the office weekly, and opportunities to grow within a global network of engineers and environmental scientists.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain it.
• 5–10 years of experience in electrical power design (HV substations, protection, lighting, grounding).
• Experience planning, estimating, scheduling and monitoring projects.
• Water/wastewater projects beneficial but not required.

Aufgaben

• Client & customer management with small clients and assistance to senior staff.
• Community of Practice participation and knowledge sharing.
• Design engineering solutions and validation to meet design briefs and standards.
• Contribute to engineering standards and specifications development.
• Follow HSE policies to mitigate risks in the workplace.
• Identify process improvements and deliver change plans with guidance.
• Develop capabilities through training and accreditation to improve performance.
• Deliver small- to medium-scale projects within a program.
• Draft proposals in response to bids and tenders to win contracts.
• Recommend technical developments to improve systems and infrastructure.
