Job summary

Bridgestone Americas in Williamsburg, KY is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to research, design, test and implement electrical components and control systems for our air spring production facility.

The role emphasizes safety design, project management from scope to commissioning, and collaboration with maintenance, production and suppliers. A bachelor’s degree with 5+ years experience or an advanced degree is required; PLC programming experience with Allen-Bradley/Modicon is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 5 years of related experience, or an advanced degree with relevant work.
• Experience with PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Modicon).
• Full project lifecycle management experience (cradle to grave).

Responsibilities

• Safety design process, risk assessment and validation.
• Oversee contractor work and ensure safety rules compliance.
• Define project scope, budget and feasibility; procure and install.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture requirements.
• Develop hardware wiring diagrams and control software.
• Plan labor and schedule milestones to meet scope and budget.
