Job summary

Firestone Airide in Williamsburg, Kentucky seeks a Sr. Electrical Engineer to join our team at the 433,000 square foot plant.

You will research, design, test, and implement electrical components, systems, and networks for air springs used in automotive and heavy vehicle applications. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, PLC programming (Allen Bradley/Modicon), and full project lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley/Modicon) and full project lifecycle management.
• PMP certification is a plus for preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Safety Design Process ownership: risk assessment and mitigation.
• Oversee contractor work ensuring quality and safety compliance.
• Plan and manage project scope, budget, justification, procurement, installation, and testing.
• Develop hardware wiring diagrams and control system software.
• Coordinate with maintenance, production, and process engineering to resolve electrical/controls issues.
