Job summary

Solar Connection in Rochester, MN seeks an Electrical Engineer, PE to provide technical leadership, review designs, and oversee engineering documentation for residential and commercial solar projects. This role requires MN P.E.

licensure, NABCEP PV Associate, and 5+ years in electrical engineering with AutoCAD/Helioscope experience. Responsibilities include reviewing designs, sealing documents as Engineer of Record, and guiding project teams to meet schedules and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Minnesota is required; reciprocity preferred.
• NABCEP certification, PV Associate minimum.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience incl. design, PM, and construction oversight.

Responsibilities

• Review solar system designs including drawings, site plans, and interconnection details.
• Seal engineering documents as Engineer of Record on designated projects.
• Oversee documentation using AutoCAD, Helioscope, GIS, and PVSyst models.
