Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer PE for mission-critical healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities in a fully remote role. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience and a strong REVIT background, with solid knowledge of NEC and NFPA codes.

Responsibilities include leading electrical system designs, performing load and arc-flash studies, coordinating with architects and MEP teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering projects for Healthcare, Cleanrooms, Laboratories, FDA-Regulated Environments, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facilities, and cGMP Facilities.
• Conceptual design experience for engineering consulting firms.
• REVIT software proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards for mission-critical and healthcare environments.
• Excellent communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of electrical systems including power distribution, emergency and standby power (UPS, generators), lighting, fire alarm, and telecom systems for mission critical healthcare and pharmaceutical facilities.
• Conduct load calculations, short circuit analysis, arc flash studies, and develop protective device coordination using tools such as SKM or ETAP.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including NEC, NFPA 70E, and relevant healthcare regulations.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical engineers, and construction managers, to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall project designs.
• Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and technical reports.
• Participate in client meetings, site surveys, and construction administration activities to ensure project requirements are met.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the electrical engineering team.
