Job summary

BKV Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE license required) in Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX. You will provide senior design leadership for electrical systems in diverse projects, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with architecture, structure, and MEP teams.

The role emphasizes energy-efficient power and lighting design, construction documentation, and QA/QC leadership, with opportunities for professional growth and broad project exposure.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 10 years of focused electrical building systems design experience.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit for electrical design and documentation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to lead discussions.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and documentation across multiple project types (multifamily, commercial, civic/government).
• Mentor staff and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Ensure QA/QC and compliance with NEC, energy codes, and local codes.
• Communicate design concepts and options to clients and authorities.
