Job summary

Bernhard is seeking an Electrical Engineer, PE II - Senior to lead electrical design on large commercial projects. The role involves serving as Engineer of Record (EOR), delivering compliant designs per the NEC, and guiding an integrated project team. Travel 10–20% and collaboration with project managers and clients are expected.

The successful candidate will hold a PE license, a relevant engineering degree, and at least five years post-PE experience with strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Five years of experience post PE license.
• Experience with design of large commercial projects.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Strong communication skills; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical engineering of projects following best practices and company standards.
• Act as Engineer of Record (EOR) and provide technical direction.
• Coordinate with integrated project team and clients.
• Prepare study reports, drawings and specifications; stamp as required.
• Mentor Electrical Engineers, Designers and BIM/CAD Technicians.
• Attend client meetings and document notes; manage design interfaces.
