Job summary

OEI (O’Brien Engineering & Architecture) seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer/Professional Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead DoD and federal project design using Revit and AutoCAD. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary A/E team across municipal, healthcare, and institutional projects.

The candidate will bring subject matter expertise in DoD design projects, coordinate with other disciplines, and contribute to project scoping, data collection, and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• 10+ years electrical design experience.
• 6+ years Department of Defense (DOD) design experience.
• Texas PE or ability to obtain Texas license within 12 months.
• Proficiency in understanding building codes: UPC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE & IBC.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and clients.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical design in MEP projects and coordinate with all disciplines and clients.
• Attend client meetings and represent MEP interests of the firm.
• Design systems in buildings and facilities with coordination with mechanical, civil, structural, and architectural teams.
• Assist in defining project scope and collecting field data.
• Prepare cost estimates, specifications and design analyses.
