Job summary

OEI is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer/Professional Engineer with 10+ years of electrical design experience to lead DoD and federal projects, including medical, government, retail, and institutional facilities, using Revit and AutoCAD.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary A/E team, attend client meetings, coordinate systems across disciplines, and develop project scopes, cost estimates, and design analyses. Texas professional engineer license required or obtained within 12 months.

Qualifications

10+ years of Electrical design experience.
6+ years of Department of Defense (DOD) design experience.
Minimum of 5 projects as DOR/EOR.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in understanding building codes and standards.
Detailed knowledge of UPC, IPC, IMC, NFPA, ASHRAE & IBC.
LEED accreditation (preferred).
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
Experience with Bluebeam PDF software (preferred).
Registered Professional Engineer in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical design in MEP related projects with coordination across disciplines and Clients.
Attend client meetings and represent the MEP interests of the firm.
Design systems and applications in buildings and facilities with cross-disciplinary coordination.
Assist in determining and developing project scope.
Assist in collection of field data, including directing subconsultants.
Design mechanical systems, air and water side and related controls.
Prepare cost estimates, specifications, and design analyses.
