Job summary

Ilocatum in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer PE to lead complex commercial MEP design projects with full relocation support. This role requires a PE license, ABET engineering degree, and 10+ years in electrical design and project management for commercial systems.

You will coordinate with mechanical, structural, and environmental disciplines, perform design calculations, ensure code compliance, mentor junior engineers, and manage schedules and budgets in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Active PE license required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of electrical engineering design and project management on commercial MEP and fire protection systems.
• Proven record leading large or complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design, calculations, drawings and specifications for complex commercial projects.
• Integrate electrical systems with mechanical, structural, civil and environmental disciplines.
• Run QC reviews at key milestones and ensure code and regulatory compliance.
• Support construction with site visits and submittal reviews.
• Manage project schedules, resources and budgets.
• Mentor junior engineers and work directly with clients.

Job Type: Full-time, direct hire
Pay: $140,000 to $160,000 per year

Be the technical authority on complex commercial building systems at a national engineering and architecture firm, with full relocation to Houston.

Must-Haves

• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 10+ years of electrical engineering design and project management on commercial MEP and fire protection systems
• Proven record leading large or complex engineering projects
