Job summary

Form Energy in the United States is hiring a Staff Electrical Engineer to lead PCBA design lifecycle, from requirements through bring‑up and verification, within our BMS hardware team. You will partner with mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing to meet safety and reliability standards.

This role focuses on high‑power electronics, sensors, networking, and DFM/DFMEA, contributing to scalable energy storage solutions and a collaborative fast-paced culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in PCBA design and strong ECAD tools.
• Experience with high-power and safety-critical electronics.
• Familiarity with UL standards and compliance considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own full lifecycle of PCBA design: requirements, component selection, schematic/Layout, and release.
• Ensure safety, reliability, and compliance for high-power systems.
• Create DFMEA/CFMEA, block diagrams, simulations, and test plans.
• Collaborate with System, Mechanical, Firmware, and Test teams for PCBAs.
• Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement of released designs.
• Document concepts, bring-up results, root cause analyses, and decisions.
