Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer - Panel to design, test, and sustain electronic PCBA hardware and chiller control panels. You will develop analog/digital interfaces, power supplies, and ensure reliability per hardware requirements.

You’ll lead PCB design using Altium Designer, support chiller system controls, and drive agency approvals while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have BSEE/BSCE or related field and 2+ years in PCBA or electrical panel design.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, schedule-driven, team-oriented environment.
• PCBA design experience is required.
• Experience with electrical panel design and layout is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain electronic hardware for chiller control.
• Design analog and digital interface circuits and power supplies.
• Perform worst-case circuit analysis and ensure reliability per specs.
• Support chiller system controls through component selection and interfacing.
• Design and maintain PCBA schematics and layout in Altium Designer.
• Create and maintain chiller control panels (enclosure, connectors, harness, HMI, PCBAs).
• Obtain UL, CE and FCC approvals for PCBs and panels.
• Conduct cost analysis and feasibility studies for designs or modifications.
• Integrate new and modify processes across the development lifecycle.
• Guide drafters and manufacturing teams on panel products.
• Adhere to quality policies to ensure product quality and customer satisfaction.
