Job summary
Johnson Controls in New Freedom, PA, seeks an Electrical Engineer II to oversee the electrical design and analysis of air‑cooled chiller components and systems. You will support production, labs, service, applications, and global teams, contributing to new projects and product improvement.
The role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering, experience with power panels, control systems, and AutoCAD Electrical.
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Experience with power panels, drives, and wiring schemes.
- Familiar with UL/NEC/CSA/CE codes is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Investigate and analyze electrical designs for power panels, control panels, drives, and wire harnesses per applicable codes.
- Conceptualize and implement electrical design ideas into new or existing products.
- Prepare, check, and release electrical schematics, drawings, and BOMs.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing to balance cost, performance, and reliability.
- Coordinate and execute test programs to validate electrical systems, components, and controls.
- Contribute to on-time completion of projects and communicate status to teams.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
