ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer II (P.E.) to act as a technical authority for complex commercial infrastructure and building systems. You will lead design, calculations, and specifications, and oversee project execution.

Relocation assistance is provided. The role emphasizes leadership across disciplines, quality control during construction, mentorship of junior engineers, and managing schedules, resources, and budgets to deliver high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) credential required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 10 to 15 years of engineering design and project management experience, specifically working with MEP and Fire Prevention systems in the commercial sector.
• Proven ability to lead large or complex engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, technical development, detailed drawings, calculations, and specifications for complex commercial projects.
• Oversee the cohesive integration of electrical systems alongside civil, mechanical, structural, and environmental disciplines.
• Perform quality control reviews at key milestones, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide engineering oversight during construction—including site visits and submittal reviews.
• Mentor junior engineering staff, partner with multidisciplinary teams and clients, and manage project schedules, resources, and budgets.
