Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Tampa, FL team. Projects include infrastructure upgrades for commercial buildings, universities, healthcare facilities, and entertainment venues. The ideal candidate has experience in field surveys, system selection, and developing engineering drawings and specifications for bidding and construction. Experience in consulting engineering is preferred.

Ideal candidates should have an entrepreneurial spirit and client-focused attitude.

Educational Qualifications and Experience

• 9+ years of experience
• Experience with detailed punch-list and construction observation reports
• Reviewing submittals and RFIs
• Overseeing setup of AGi32 files and performing lighting layouts
• Experience with SKM or EasyPower is a plus
• Designing medium voltage and generator systems
• Power distribution system design experience
• Performing layouts and circuiting of lighting, devices, and equipment
• Coordination of mechanical equipment layouts and power requirements
• Layout of fire alarm devices
• Sizing equipment, circuit breakers, conduits, and conductors
• Load calculations proficiency
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
• Ability to meet deadlines and communicate effectively with clients
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently
• Stay updated with latest electrical engineering trends, Florida Energy Code, and NFPA standards
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• PE registration required
