Job summary

Turtlebox Audio is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own all electrical aspects from concept to production. You will define architecture, make key component decisions, and lead external development partners to meet Turtlebox standards.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in EE for consumer or embedded products, with deep battery, PCBA, and Bluetooth expertise. You’ll prototype, debug, and drive reliability in rugged environments while collaborating across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in consumer or embedded products (BSEE or higher).
• Proven track record of owning products from concept through mass production and sustainment.
• Strong experience in battery systems, PCBA design, and Bluetooth systems.
• Experience managing external development partners and translating requirements into actionable inputs.

Responsibilities

• Own electrical system architecture from concept through production and be the decision-maker.
• Design for durability, real-world reliability, and environmental conditions.
• Direct external development partners and own outcomes, schedules, and quality.
• Collaborate with product, mechanical, firmware, and operations teams.
• Debug firmware/hardware issues and support Bluetooth performance and power optimization.
• Create validation strategies and run reliability testing across products.
• Support suppliers and contract manufacturers through EVT–PVT and ramp.
• Prototype and bench-build circuits; own problems end-to-end.
