Job summary

Qualifications

• 10–15 years engineering experience in consumer electronics with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to lead engineering organizations through full product development cycles.
• Deep expertise in plastic injection molding: tool design, DFM, first-article qualification, and production validation.
• Strong working knowledge of PCB/SMT processes and supplier qualification.
• Hands-on firmware familiarity to review scope and communicate requirements.
• Experience with contract manufacturers in Asia and traveling for manufacturing.
• Track record developing engineering talent and leading teams to high standards.
• Clear technical communicator able to brief leadership and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Turtlebox's engineering team across mechanical, electrical, audio, validation, and technicians.
• Set technical standards for product development, design quality, documentation, test rigor, and manufacturing readiness.
• Build an engineering culture that moves fast, makes good decisions, and avoids repeat mistakes.
• Hire and onboard engineering talent as the team grows to meet the product roadmap.
• Lead engineering on priority programs from concept through mass production, balancing performance, cost, schedule, and quality.
