Job summary

HDR seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer for an on-site role at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. You will lead electrical design for mission-critical facilities, coordinating with a multi-disciplinary team and contributing to design development and production.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in building electrical design, a PE license, and experience with government/federal contracts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis.
10+ years of electrical design experience for buildings (lighting, power, systems).
Professional Engineer license recognized by the licensing board.
Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and life-safety systems.
Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
US Citizenship per client contract requirements.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, design, and coordinate a broad range of electrical engineering activities.
Lead electrical design on projects and coordinate with multi-discipline team.
Participate in design reviews with agencies for code compliance.
Serve as electrical lead on multiple projects.
Prepare in-house design packages and independent government estimates.
