Job summary

Eaton is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for its ES AMER ESS division in Greenwood, SC. The role focuses on acting as the Product Engineer for NWP and capacitor switch families, guiding design work, and coordinating cross-functional projects to improve manufacturability and cost-out initiatives.

You will engage with R&D, purchasing, manufacturing, QA, marketing, sales, and customers to deliver customized design solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (Required).
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Relocation benefits are offered for this position. Candidates within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC encouraged.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support and design work to improve NWP and capacitor switch products.
Collaborate with R&D to implement design enhancements into manufacturing.
Lead direct material cost-out projects, including idea development and execution.
Conduct engineering analyses, material specs, and testing of models.
Prepare mechanical & electrical drawings from customer specifications.
Coordinate efforts using low-cost economy engineering resources for timely design releases.
Process orders and design customer products in an engineer-to-order environment.
Provide engineering support to Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
Support product marketing with sales inquiries and engineering analysis.
