Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Greenwood, SC is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to act as the Product Engineer for the network protector and capacitor switch families. You will guide and review design work, support automation initiatives, and coordinate across R&D, manufacturing, QA, marketing, and customers.

The role requires developing detailed design and manufacturing experience, with a focus on cost-out and manufacturability improvements, while ensuring compliance with standards and customer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university (Required)
• Minimum of Two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Relocation benefits are being offered for this position. Candidates within 50 miles of Greenwood, SC will be considered.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Provide design support to improve NWP and capacitor switch products addressing performance, quality, and safety.
• Collaborate with R&D to implement design enhancements into the manufacturing environment.
• Lead cost-out projects from idea development to execution.
• Conduct engineering analyses, including material specs and testing of functional models.
• Prepare mechanical & electrical drawings from customer specifications.
• Coordinate with low-cost economy resources to ensure timely design releases.
• Process orders and design customer products in an engineer-to-order environment per standards.
• Provide engineering support to Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
