Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead design, optimization, and reliability of instrumentation, control and electrical systems for nuclear projects. The role requires strategic direction, advanced engineering expertise, and mentoring of junior staff, reporting to the Manager of Instrumentation and Controls - Electrical Engineering.

Hybrid work with on-site collaboration at Cranberry Township, PA or Rock Hill, SC.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
10+ years of relevant experience.
Expertise in instrumentation, controls, and power systems.

Responsibilities

Be a SME for instrumentation, control systems, electrical systems, and automation architecture.
Engineering design for nuclear products and projects including electrical system design, instrumentation and controls designs, and system wiring.
Use software packages such as Mathcad, Matlab and PSpice or equivalent.
Lead development of advanced control and electrical system strategies.
Work with internal groups on similar engineering levels to obtain information necessary to perform work assignments
Plan and schedule work to meet assignment requirements.
Use appropriate standards, techniques, procedures and criteria for development of engineering design documents including calculations and specifications.
Mentor junior engineers across instrumentation, controls, and electrical disciplines
Ensure compliance with safety, electrical codes, and regulatory requirements
