Job summary

Gentex Corporation seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to research, model, and develop designs for aircrew and groundcrew applications, guiding new products from concept to full-rate production.

The role requires strong expertise in embedded systems, PCB design, and NPD processes, with leadership across engineering teams and rigorous design reviews. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; advanced degree preferred.
• 7+ years in product design and new product development.
• Proven ability to lead transition of technical products from concept to production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on new design and development programs.
• Own Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR) and support other reviews.
• Lead production support activities including corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
• Ensure engineering documentation quality and clear communication with customers, government, and vendors.
• Design products to meet cost, performance, weight, quality, reliability, safety and schedule requirements.
• Lead interdisciplinary teams to disseminate electrical/electronic design requirements.
