Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Motor Control and Servo Design Engineer for Salt Lake City. You will design brushless motor drives and power stages, validating with MATLAB/Simulink and LTspice while coordinating with analog, digital, RF, and mechanical teams.

You will lead hardware development lifecycle from requirements through production, ensuring EMI/EMC, thermal, and safety compliance and pursuing rigorous design verification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with relevant experience.
• Experience with brushless 3-phase motor drives, power stages, and servo control systems.
• Ability to apply control theory to motor/servo designs and to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Design brushless 3-phase inverter and motor drive circuits for servo and motion control applications.
• Develop analog, digital, and power schematics for PCB design.
• Support hardware development lifecycle from requirements to production.
• Perform first-article bring-up and debug in the lab.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet power, thermal, EMI/EMC, reliability, and safety requirements.
