JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work to serve innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of this team, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career with a diverse team of professionals.


Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  1. Learn and actively participate in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
  2. Complete entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  3. Assist in developing budgetary M/E estimates based on program and schematic design information using automated systems.
  4. Review mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction, complete systems analysis, and assist in developing scopes of work for bids.
  5. Support the review of design documents to identify potential quality issues and assist in constructability reviews.
  6. Perform job inspections to ensure work meets specifications and quality standards.
  7. Assist with shop drawing/submittal processes to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  8. Support the commissioning process, including developing checklists and testing procedures.
  9. Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policy.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Handle more complex activities in mechanical, electrical, and field construction.
  2. Develop and review estimates, coordinate scopes during bidding, and provide scheduling input.
  3. Identify quality issues, develop quality control programs, and verify project standards.
  4. Lead and mentor less experienced team members.
  5. Create innovative tools and solutions for process improvement.
  6. Continue promoting diversity and inclusion within the organization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to perform work accurately, completely, and timely.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Develop proficiency in JE Dunn's construction M/E tools and software.
  • Knowledge of construction management methods.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering, or related field (Required).
  • Equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of construction and/or engineering experience (Preferred).
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
