Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field required.
  • 5+ years of construction or engineering experience preferred.

JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) combines Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing into one high-performing team focused on cutting-edge work for innovative clients on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects. As part of AFG, you'll work on some of the most advanced construction projects nationwide, growing your career alongside our diverse team of industry professionals.

Key Role Responsibilities - Core
  • Learns and actively participates in all aspects of the company's safety and quality plans and culture, demonstrating commitment to an injury-free environment.
  • Completes entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
  • Learns to develop budgetary M/E estimates using automated systems based on program and schematic design information.
  • Assists in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during preconstruction and completes systems analysis for projects.
  • Learns to develop scopes of work for bidding and assists in bid analysis and subcontractor selection.
  • Assists in developing sequencing requirements and provides solutions to meet schedule requirements.
  • Gains knowledge of design documents to identify potential quality issues and develop constructability review reports.
  • Learns to perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
  • Assists with shop drawing/submittal processes and the commissioning process.
  • Supports and promotes a culture of diversity and inclusion, understanding JE Dunn's non-discrimination policy.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Performs more complex construction activities and develops estimates and schedules.
  • Reviews design documents, develops quality control and assurance processes.
  • Leads, supports, and promotes diversity and inclusion initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to perform work accurately, timely, and completely.
  • Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ability to read plans and specifications.
  • Knowledge of construction management methods and ability to collaborate effectively.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant engineering or related field required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu.
  • At least 5 years of construction and/or engineering experience preferred.
Working Environment
  • Valid driver's license required.
