Job summary

PROCEPT BioRobotics Corporation is seeking a seasoned Staff Electrical Engineer for its R&D Capital Equipment group. You will design, verify, and transfer electrical systems for current and future robotic medical devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure safety, reliability, and manufacturability.

Excellence in analog/mixed-signal design, DFx practices, and hands-on lab work with test equipment will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum 8+ years related experience and/or training.
• Strong electrical systems experience with analog and mixed signal design.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively on concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with PCBA design tools and electrical measurement equipment.
• Work on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, maintain, and document electrical systems for PROCEPT's products.
• Contribute to development of new products and support capital equipment and accessories.
• Serve as EE SME for multiple electronics subassemblies.
• Support supplier engineering and supply chain with component evaluation.
• Ensure designs consider system interactions and manufacturability.
• Document design with specs, DFMEAs, and test reports.
• Troubleshoot electrical and system-level issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in reviews for circuit layout and subsystem risks.
• Maintain compliance with Quality Management System.
