Job summary

PROCEPT BioRobotics in San Jose seeks an experienced Equipment Engineering Leader to design, qualify, and deploy manufacturing and test systems for surgical capital equipment.

You will define equipment strategy, establish GMP-compliant standards, and lead cross-functional teams including R&D, NPI, and external suppliers to deliver robust, scalable solutions from concept through IQ/OQ/PQ and production release.

Qualifications

• BS in electrical, mechanical or software engineering required.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Hands-on equipment engineering experience supporting manufacturing.
• Experience in a regulated medical devices environment.
• Onsite availability to work in person 5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to design and build manufacturing and testing equipment.
• Define equipment and automation strategy; ensure GMP compliance.
• Collaborate with R&D, NPI, Ops and suppliers to deploy solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement to raise yields and reduce defects.
• Develop test methods and validate equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Maintain BOMs and equipment configurations; manage FAT and qualification.
