Job summary

PROCEPT BioRobotics Corporation seeks a hands-on Equipment Engineering leader to design, qualify, and deploy manufacturing and test systems for surgical capital equipment. You will establish engineering standards, collaborate with R&D, NPI, and external suppliers, and drive improvements to yield, test coverage, and productivity.

The role requires a BS in engineering, 7 years in medical device manufacturing, and onsite presence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in electrical, mechanical or software engineering.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in medical device manufacturing.
• Hands-on equipment engineering experience supporting manufacturing.
• Experience in a regulated medical device environment (FDA QSR 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485).
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented; excellent communication.
• Leadership skills in cross-functional collaboration; onsite presence required (5 days).

Responsibilities

• Design and lead equipment for manufacturing and testing of surgical capital equipment.
• Drive continuous improvement and report key team metrics.
• Develop and deploy test solutions with R&D and NPI teams.
• Define design for test and validation standards; ensure GMP compliance.
• Oversee FAT, IQ/OQ/PQ activities and production readiness.
