Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in San Diego to support R&D for existing product lines. The role requires hands-on design, schematic capture, and PCB layout through release using Allegro Cadence.

The engineer will lead multiple projects, develop test documentation, and collaborate with engineering teams to drive product enhancements while following SAP processes for BOMs and changes.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with hands-on medical device experience.
• Minimum 4 years in medical device or related field.
• Proficient in PCB/PCBA design and schematic capture.
• Familiar with laboratory tools such as oscilloscope and DMM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and verify electrical designs for medical devices.
• Create schematics and drive PCB layouts through release.
• Collaborate with R&D and external partners to advance projects.
• Prepare test documentation for design verification.
• Interface with SAP for BOMs and change orders.
