Job description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a Bio-Medical Device company based in Guilford, CT! This position is 50/50 embedded software and electronic design. Our client is a family-owned business that has been engineering quality medical devices for over 50 years. They specialize in medical ventilators and oxygen blenders. Prior experience in medical devices is not required, but certainly a plus!

As an Engineer, you will be a part of a six-person team responsible for ensuring all devices are safe, reliable, and compliant with regulatory standards. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of tasks and projects, from troubleshooting legacy products to driving innovation around new products and enhancements. From a technical perspective, this role involves hands-on coding with C/C++ for firmware design and development. Additionally, you will utilize EAGLE and OrCAD for PCB layout, embedded systems design, and circuit troubleshooting. This is an excellent opportunity for an Engineer in the Shoreline area who wants to lead meaningful work in a small team environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-5+ years of experience with embedded software design and electrical/electronic engineering
• Expertise in C/C++ for coding and firmware development

Nice to Have Skills & Experience:

• Experience engineering within a regulated environment (aviation, medical, etc.)
• Experience with design documentation
• Familiarity with the software lifecycle
• Python or C# coding skills
• Experience with EAGLE or OrCAD
• Experience working in Medical Devices
