Job summary

Mainspring Energy, Inc in Menlo Park seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer, Electronics Design to own end-to-end electrical hardware and PCBA design powering our Linear Generator. You will lead bring-up, validation, and cross-functional reviews, shaping the power control architecture with a world-class team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (5+ years) or Master's with 4+ years.
• Hands-on experience designing, troubleshooting, and realizing low-voltage electrical hardware (<60V).
• Proficiency with PCBA schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in analog/mixed-signal design (op-amps, ADCs, filtering).
• Experience performing DFMEA and worst-case tolerance analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects from requirements through production.
• Collaborate effectively across diverse technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage hardware and PCBA to enable core functions.
• Own bring-up, validation, and qualification of hardware designs
• Lead cross-functional design reviews to align requirements and secure approvals
• Debug and troubleshoot complex hardware issues across field deployments and labs
• Partner with reliability engineers to improve system robustness
• Work with NPI and suppliers to optimize DFM and DFT
• Interface with high-voltage teams for cabling and firmware support
• Mentor peers within a world-class engineering team
