Job summary

Mainspring Energy, Inc. seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer, Electronics Design to own end-to-end hardware and PCBA designs powering the Linear Generator. You will lead cross-functional teams through Bring-Up, validation, and design reviews in a high-impact role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a bachelor's or 7+ years with a master's.
• Hands-on experience designing, troubleshooting, and realizing low-voltage electrical hardware.
• Proficiency with PCBA schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium strongly preferred).
• Strong fundamentals in analog/mixed-signal design, including op-amps, ADCs, and filtering.
• Experience performing DFMEA and tolerance stack-ups.
• Demonstrated ability to drive projects forward from requirements through production.
• Collaborate-first mindset with strong cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

• Design low-voltage (<60V) hardware and PCBA layouts to enable core functions.
• Own bring-up, validation, and qualification of hardware designs.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews to align requirements and secure approvals.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex hardware issues across field deployments and labs.
• Partner with reliability engineers to improve system robustness.
• Work with NPI and suppliers to optimize for manufacturability and testability.
• Interface with high-voltage teams for cabling and firmware support.
• Mentor peers and contribute to team growth.
