Job summary

Mainspring Energy, Inc designs and delivers fuel-flexible, low-emissions power solutions. We seek a power electronics engineer to shape the Linear Generator’s electrical systems, owning hardware from concept through test and manufacturing. You’ll collaborate across teams, bring up designs, and drive reliability in a hybrid onsite/remote role at Menlo Park.

Qualifications

• BS or higher in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
• 5+ years developing power electronics technologies.
• Strong fundamentals in electronics design and schematic creation.
• Experience owning a power electronics design project and PCB layout.
• Familiar with EE tools and power converter modeling/simulation.

Responsibilities

• Design custom power electronics hardware for the Linear Generator.
• Bring-up, validate, and qualify power electronics designs.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in lab, production, and field.
• Collaborate with NPI and suppliers to improve manufacturability and testability.
• Partner with reliability engineers to improve hardware reliability.
• Serve as the resident expert on owned hardware systems.
