Job summary

SolomonEdwards is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical projects across all phases, mentoring junior staff and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. The role demands expertise in electrical systems design, technical leadership, and client engagement from feasibility through construction.

You will supervise engineers and designers, perform key calculations, review designs for code compliance, and manage scope, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
10–12 years of electrical engineering and building systems design experience.
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit.
Experience performing electrical studies using SKM, EasyPower, AmpCalc, or similar.
Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

Serve as the Project Lead for all phases of engineering projects, including feasibility studies, building assessments, concept and basis of design reports, detailed engineering, and construction documentation.
Develop scopes of work based on client meetings, project requirements, and preliminary assessments.
Prepare engineering studies, calculations, and schematic designs for new electrical systems.
Evaluate current systems and recommend improvements.
Lead, assign, and review the work of engineers and designers while providing technical guidance.
Monitor project progress and provide markups for design revisions.
Coordinate with code officials and regulatory agencies regarding compliance.
