Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design efforts in our Lake Charles, LA office. You will prepare specifications, perform calculations, and review vendor drawings while coordinating with clients and subcontractors.

The role requires a PE license, a strong background in electrical design, and experience with multi-discipline projects. Travel to sites and vendors may be involved, with emphasis on safety and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• ABET accreditation preferred.
• Electrical engineering degree preferred.
• PE license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specifications detailing client performance requirements and vendor drawing needs.
• Develop engineering sketches, calculations, and analysis models for complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with project specifications.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and other consultants.
• Set realistic expectations and ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Adhere to company HSSE standards and design control procedures.
• Visit jobsites to evaluate sites, project requirements and conditions.
• Prepare inquiry and purchase requisitions and bid tabulations for equipment purchases.
• Lead medium to large scope multi-discipline projects and manage day-to-day workflow.
