Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer for our Houston, TX Energy Corridor Office. You will lead electrical design efforts for complex projects, develop specifications, perform calculations, and review vendor drawings to ensure compliance.

The role requires ABET-accredited education preference, a PE license, and 10+ years of experience in electrical design across multi-discipline environments. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• PE license required.
• ABET accreditation preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience preferred.
• ETAP, SKM, CARS software experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NEC, NEMA, API, IEEE design codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare intermediate to advanced level specifications detailing client requirements, design needs and vendor drawings.
• Develop calculations and models for complex projects.
• Review vendor drawings for compliance with specs.
• Interact with clients, subcontractors, vendors and consultants.
• Manage schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
• Lead multi-discipline project teams and coordinate with design groups.
• Visit job-sites and vendor facilities to assess site and equipment.
• Provide feedback and guidance to junior staff.
